Ever racked your brains for the right word or phrase when speaking Irish to your child? You’re not the only one!

Gaschaint is a handbook of 2000 phrases with sound recordings of each phrase available on www.gaschaint.ie as well. This is the perfect resource for parents who would like to improve their children’s Irish. The three main Irish dialects are represented in the book and the phrases have been colour-coded for ease of use. All the sound recordings on the website are by native Irish speakers.

This package is the result of a pioneering project in which native speakers of Irish participated alongside people with a limited knowledge of Irish.
