Before the games starts all players place their balls on the "Start" square in order to determine the order of play. In turns, the players pop the dice in the center of the playing field. The player who rolls the highest number starts the game, and the play continues clockwise. On your turn, roll the dice and move your counter forward the number of spaces shown on the dice. If your counter lands at the bottom of a ladder, climb the entire length to the very top. But if your counter lands on the head of the snake, slide down the end of its tail. The ladders help us to get to the top faster, and the snakes slow us down. The first player to get to the end square wins. A classic game for the family!
